PDP Forum Elects Tumburkai As Chairman

Katsina, Nigeria - Honourable Abdullahi Usman Tumburkai, a seasoned community leader and journalist from Dandume Local Government, has been nominated as Chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Candidates Forum in Katsina State. 

The nomination took place on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the party's Secretariat, where 34 elected party candidates gathered.

In this esteemed position, Abdullahi will oversee the forum's initiatives aimed at enhancing transparency and accessibility in the electoral process. 

The PDP Candidates Forum serves as a vital resource for candidates to discuss their platforms, engage with constituents, and collaborate on issues that matter most to the community.

Abdullahi expressed his gratitude and commitment to the role, stating, "I am honored to be nominated as Chairman of the PDP Candidates Forum. 

This role is an incredible opportunity to bring together diverse voices and ensure that all candidates have the chance to share their visions for our future. I am committed to creating an inclusive environment where voters can make informed decisions."

The PDP Candidates Forum has also nominated other executives, including Honourable Abdurrahman Rilwan as Secretary, Honourable Yasir Ibrahim as Treasurer, and Honourable Tarik Yahaya as Financial Secretary. Honourable Nura Mai'adua and Honourable Hamisu Ismail Jibia were nominated as Organising Secretary and Public Relations Officer, respectively.

The forum is planning a series of events before the upcoming elections, including town hall meetings and opportunities for voters to meet the candidates. 

These events will provide voters with the opportunity to hear directly from candidates and engage in meaningful discussions about the issues that affect their lives.
