A PDP chieftain in Fagge Local Government Area, Hon. Haruna Kabiru Wakili, under his Wakili Foundation, distributed clothing items to orphans and provided food assistance to the community.
The launch of the distribution of the aid was attended by the Kano State Chairman of the PDP, Hon. Yusuf Ado Kibiya, his Deputy, Hon. Aminu Dan'iya, and the Kano Central Party Chairman, Hon. Kabiru Dandago.
In addition, the distribution event was attended by the Kano State Chairman of the APC, represented by the Kano State Secretary of the Zakari Sarina, and other people from various political parties.
Speaking at the distribution ceremony of the Wakili Foundation, Hon. Haruna Kabiru Wakili said that the distribution of clothing for orphans in Fagge was the fourth time it had been held and this time 500 orphans benefited. There were also food items distributed to 1,500 people who benefited, including leaders, supporters and others.
Hon. Kabiru. Haruna Wakili said that this service is in line with what he earns from his business activities and he saw fit to come and support the community, because if you get it, you don't just get it, you have to give it to someone else.
He pointed out that even though he has never held any government position, he still has a responsibility to the community since God has given him the ability to do so and he hopes that if the people of Fagge allow him to contest the 2027 elections and win, God willing, food trucks will be brought in and people will be given food by knocking on their doors.
Hon. Kabiru Haruna Wakili said that if God gives them victory, students in Fagge Local Government Area will stop going to the medias seeking for help for school registration fees because Wakili will be like a father to them who will take care of the students’ education.
He said that the Wakili Foundation is currently providing support to the people of Fagge Local Government Area, but they have aspirations to expand it to cover all 44 local governments and all 484 wards in Kano State, God willing.
Hon. Kabiru Haruna,thanked the dignitaries attend the gathering who included leaders of his party, PDP, the leaders of the APC and other parties.
