The ongoing Measles-Rubella immunization exercise in Dala Local Government Area has made significant progress, thanks to the dedication of health personnel, stakeholders, and parents. As the exercise enters its eighth day, the council's chairman, Alhaji Surajo Ibrahim Imam, has commended the efforts of all involved.

During an "Evening Review" session, Alhaji Imam emphasized the importance of prioritizing primary healthcare delivery. He assured that the council remains committed to ensuring all eligible children receive the necessary vaccines for complete protection.

The Primary Healthcare Coordinator, Alhaji Isah Aminu, attributed the success to the council chairman's close supervision and involvement. This motivation has enabled health workers to perform their duties effectively.

The Local Immunization Officer, Alhaji Bello Sani Ahmed Getso, and Health Educator, Alhaji Umar Muktar Modibbo, reported that out of 296,746 targeted children, 237,623 have received the Measles-Rubella vaccine, achieving 80% coverage. Additionally, 126,901 children have been immunized against Polio, achieving 89% coverage.

The health officials urged parents and guardians to bring their children to health centers for routine immunization, protecting them against preventable childhood diseases.
