The African Democratic Congress (ADC), founded two decades ago, predates the All Progressives Congress (APC) by nearly eight years. Yet, despite its early emergence, ADC has consistently failed to gain traction and momentum among the Nigerian electorate, developing proverbial clay feet over the years.
In April 2025, a faction of peripatetic politicians—some from APC, PDP, Labour Party, and others—migrated into ADC, hijacking its structures and organs from the original members. They rebranded it as a Special Purpose Vehicle under the guise of an amorphous coalition. Among these figures is Abubakar Malami, SAN, who loudly and boisterously proclaimed that ADC would rescue Nigeria.
However, recent developments have exposed these politicians, including Malami, as power-hungry megalomaniacs intent on seizing power for selfish and greedy ends—to feather their nests and amass wealth for themselves and their families.
