Over 500 hundred Islamic clerics and the New Nigeria Peoples Party NNPP stalwart have offered Special prayers in Kaduna State seeking Allah's intervention for the Victory of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at the Supreme Court.
The prayer was held under the leadership of Malam Bashir Umar Kano and was attended by other party members and Supporters from the Northwest.
Speaking with newsmen, the National Vice Chairman of the NNPP in the Northwest, Alhaji Shehu Bello Shehu Garu, said they gathered in Kaduna on vital Issues to conduct a grand dua Prayer for Peace and Justice.
He described the Judiciary as the Last hope for a Common Man, saying that, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf was unanimously elected by the Good People of Kano State in the last 2023 General Election.
"We Pray for the Victims of the recent Bomb Blast in Tudun Biri Community in Kaduna State also"
Alhaji Shehu Bello Garu also called on the Northern Elders, Traditional Rulers, Religious Leaders, Businessmen and all the good people of the North West and Nigerian to Intervene in the People’s Mandate in Kano State and more importantly to save Democracy in Nigeria.
"We are also hopeful and praying to the Nigeria Judiciary to save their integrity and do Justice to the ongoing Review of the Mandate of Kano State Governorship Election"
"We pray for the Almighty Allah to grant us success in the upcoming Court case at the Supreme Court"
"All that we are asking is about justice, we are asking the judiciary to give us our Mandate"
"It has become necessary to clarify that, our Party Elected Governor of Kano State Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf and his Deputy Governor Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo have Fulfilled all our Party Requirements as Certified Members of our great party the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP"
"They are the first members of our party to register their membership with our party in their respective Political Ward's in Kano State and the first Gubernatorial Candidate to submit their name to the INEC through their designated registration Portal in Nigeria"
"He is the Democratically elected Governor as voted by the good people’s of his State (Kano State) with the highest number of votes cast in the last 2023 General Election and was declared by INEC"
"We are confident in the Pledge of our President His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR as a true Democrat, to Restore and uphold Democracy in Nigeria, and all the Leadership of our dear Nation from the National Assembly, Serving and Past Governors to stand up for Humanity and intervene in the effort of his Excellency to strengthen our Democracy and most importantly uphold Peace and Justice in our Nigeria System"
Alhaji Shehu Bello also called on the residents of Kano State to always be law-abiding for the progress and development of the state.
In an interview with newsmen, the led prayer session, Malam Bashir Umar Kano expressed happiness for leading the prayer seeking Allah's intervention for the Supreme Court to confirm Abba Kabir Yusuf as duly elected governor of Kano State"
Similarly, the Chairmen of the NNPP from seven Northwest states had attended the prayer session.
After the Prayer session, the Vice Chairman, Northwest of the NNPP led other members of the party to Tudun Biri Village and condoled the people of the area over the drone attack in the community.
The delegation was received by members of the community who expressed appreciation for the visit.
