The Arewa APC Youths Merger Group has made a startling allegation against the Kano State Government, accusing it of conspiring to arrest the group's coordinator, Musa Mujahid Zaitawa, in Abuja using corrupt security agents. This claim was made in a statement signed by the group's spokesperson, Muntaka Muhammad, and released to the press.
According to the group, the Kano State Government, allegedly under the influence of Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, is orchestrating a campaign to discredit the Federal Government led by President Ahmad Bola Tinubu.
The group claims that the state government is supporting some religious scholars to defame the Federal Government and has also employed the Kano State Censorship Board to silence popular APC singer Rarara, who has been promoting the Tinubu government's policies.
The Arewa APC Youths Merger Group has condemned the alleged actions of the Kano State Government, describing them as unlawful and a blatant disregard for the rights of citizens.
The group emphasized that if there are any allegations against their leader, the proper legal channels should be followed, rather than resorting to illegal means.
The group has called on the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, to investigate the allegations and identify those responsible for the attempted arrest of Musa Mujahid Zaitawa.
They believe that this incident is part of a larger plot by the opposition to regain power in the North by 2027, by spreading false information and intimidating supporters of the Tinubu government.
The Arewa APC Youths Merger Group has urged the National Security Adviser to take immediate action to address this situation and ensure that justice is served.
The group remains committed to promoting the policies and ideals of the APC and will continue to speak out against any attempts to undermine democracy and the rule of law.
The allegations made by the Arewa APC Youths Merger Group have raised concerns about the use of power and intimidation by state governments to silence opposition voices.
The group's call for investigation and accountability highlights the need for transparency and adherence to the law in governance.
