The National Chairman of the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Retailers (LPGAR), Comrade Ayobami Olarimoye, has praised the Kano chapter for its outstanding performance. Olarimoye encouraged practitioners to form a strong union to defend themselves and articulate their objectives during the inauguration of the new Kano State executives chapter at Murtala Muhammed Library.

Olarimoye expressed his delight at Kano's progress, noting that organizing informal people is no easy feat.

He acknowledged the chapter's wonderful work and urged them to do more, bringing all members under one umbrella.

As Kano is Nigeria's commercial capital after Lagos, Olarimoye emphasized the critical role gas retailers play in promoting the federal government's campaign to switch to gas, abandoning kerosene and discouraging firewood use.

Olarimoye identified key areas for the chapter to focus on:

-Dialogue with Plant Owners_: Continue dialogue with plant owners to address members' problems and recognize their senior partnership in the industry.
- Environmental Protection_: Work with federal and state government agencies to protect the environment and ensure sanity in the gas sellers association.
- Harmonization_: Bring all members of the gas sellers association under one umbrella, promoting unity and cooperation.

Omode Muhammad, the newly inaugurated chairman of LPGAR Kano state chapter, thanked members for their support and pledged to serve another term. Olarimoye emphasized his focus on bringing sanity, harmonizing members, and protecting the environment through collaboration with government agencies.

By fostering a strong union and promoting cooperation, LPGAR aims to drive growth and development in Nigeria's gas retail sector.

As the federal government campaigns for a switch to gas, Kano's gas retailers are poised to play a vital role in shaping the nation's energy landscape.
