Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to the welfare of Kano students studying in India.
This assurance was given during a recent visit to the Nigerian Embassy in New Delhi, where the governor engaged with embassy officials to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations and ensure the safety and academic success of Kano students in India.
The governor emphasized the importance of supporting students abroad, highlighting that their academic achievements are crucial to Kano's progress.
He also stressed his administration's dedication to creating an enabling environment for students to excel academically and return to contribute meaningfully to the state's development.
During the visit, the Acting High Commissioner of Nigeria in New Delhi, Ubong Akpan Johnny, commended the governor for his proactive efforts and assured him of the embassy's full cooperation.
Johnny reaffirmed the embassy's commitment to prioritizing the welfare and safety of Kano students, as well as the broader Nigerian community in India.
Musbahu Bashir Sadi, the Head of Chancery at the High Commission, also pledged continued support for the welfare and security of Kano students.
He praised Governor Yusuf's leadership, describing his visit as a testament to his dedication to the well-being of Kano citizens abroad.
The governor's visit underscores Kano State Government's resolve to foster international partnerships that uplift its citizens, promote cultural exchange, and enhance educational opportunities.
