The Head of Civil Service in Kano State, Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, has expressed his condolences to the families of Late Comrade Aminu Tafida and Tukur Bello.
Alhaji Musa described the death of Comrade Tafida, a renowned Kano Labour activist, as a colossal loss not only to the people of Kano but to the entire Labour family in the country.
According to a press statement signed by Aliyu Yusuf, Director of Public Enlightenment Office of the Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Musa led a management team to pay a condolence visit to the families of the late labour leader.
During the visit, he prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and the fortitude of the families to bear the irreparable loss.
Late Comrade Aminu Tafida, who died at the age of 74 after a protracted illness, was a one-time Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Kano state chapter.
He was a passionate and dedicated labour leader and activist who demonstrated appreciable skills in ensuring good welfare of workers and negotiations with employers of labour for better service delivery.
In a similar vein, the Head of Service also paid a condolence visit to the family of Late Tukur Bello, a senior civil servant in the state who died yesterday.
Until his death, Late Tukur Bello was the Director of Administration and General Services at the Kano State Commission for Almajiri and Out of Schools Children Education.
The condolence visits by the Head of Service demonstrate the state government's commitment to showing empathy and support to the families of deceased civil servants and labour leaders.
These visits also highlight the importance of recognizing the contributions of individuals who have served the state and the nation.
The state government's gesture is expected to bring comfort to the families of the deceased and reassure them that their loved ones will not be forgotten.
