Ambassador Abdulrahman Mai Nasara, National Chairman of the PDP One Family, has debunked rumors that Malam Ibrahim Shekarau plans to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Mai Nasara emphasized that Shekarau is a leader of the PDP and will not abandon the party, especially during these challenging times in the country and the northern region.

Mai Nasara attributed the rumors to outsiders seeking to destroy the party. He praised Shekarau's efforts in developing the PDP across Nigeria, particularly in Kano.

Shekarau has reportedly met with top PDP leaders, including Atiku Abubakar, and has been instrumental in convincing some APC ministers and governors to return to the PDP.

According to Mai Nasara, Shekarau's recent campaign successes have even attracted a former Nigerian vice president to join the PDP.

Mai Nasara expressed his appreciation for Shekarau's contributions to unifying the PDP nationwide. As National Chairman of PDP One Family, Mai Nasara urged all PDP members to reject the rumors and assured that Shekarau remains committed to the party's victory in 2027.

Mai Nasara also acknowledged that there are some individuals within the party working to sabotage it, mentioning the Minister of Abuja, Nelson Wike, as an example. However, he emphasized that Shekarau is not among them, and his efforts are focused on ensuring the PDP's success.

Shekarau, a former governor of Kano State, has been a key figure in Nigerian politics. His leadership and influence have been instrumental in shaping the country's political landscape.

It's worth noting that Shekarau has been involved in various political endeavors, including his leadership of the League of Northern Democrats (LND), which aims to transform into a political party ahead of the 2027 elections.
