As the Muslim community prepares to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone One Headquarters Kano, AIG Garba Ahmed, has ordered the Commissioners of Police in Kano and Jigawa states to provide tight security before, during, and after the celebrations. This directive is aimed at ensuring the safety of lives and property in the two states.

In a press release signed by CSP Bashir Muhammad, Zonal Police Public Relations Officer Kano, AIG Garba Ahmed directed the intelligence apparatus of the zone to proactively monitor activities in the two commands and promptly provide information that will assist in the overall maintenance of peace and order.

This move is expected to enhance the security architecture in the zone and prevent any potential threats to peace and stability.

The AIG also took the opportunity to congratulate the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, which falls on the 10th of Zulhijja 1446, equivalent to June 6, 2025.

He assured them of the zonal command's commitment to providing adequate security to all citizens of the zone. AIG Garba Ahmed called on the good people of Kano and Jigawa to celebrate with modesty and obedience to the laws of the land.

He further urged the people to seize the opportunity to pray for the peace and security of the zone and the country at large. The AIG also appealed to the public to cooperate with the police and other law enforcement agencies, providing useful information that will assist in the protection of lives and properties. This, he said, will enable the police to discharge their duties effectively.

AIG Garba Ahmed's directive is a welcome development, given the importance of Eid-el-Kabir celebrations in the Muslim calendar.

The celebrations bring together millions of people, and it is essential that adequate security measures are put in place to prevent any breakdown of law and order.

The AIG's commitment to providing security for the celebrations is a testament to the zone's dedication to maintaining peace and stability.

The people of Kano and Jigawa states can rest assured that the police are working tirelessly to ensure their safety during this festive period.

In conclusion, AIG Garba Ahmed extended his goodwill message to the people of the zone as they prepare for Sallah celebrations.

He wishes them a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Kabir celebration, and prays that the festivities will bring people together in the spirit of peace, love, and unity.
