The Progressive APC Alliance Forum (PAAF), which represents all 774 local government areas in Nigeria, has inaugurated its newly appointed executives for Kano State. The Director General of PAAF, Hon. Mu'azu Idris, stated that the forum encompasses all Nigerian states and local governments. Its primary objective is to ensure that the APC government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu maintains its position in the 2027 elections.

Since its establishment in 2019, PAAF has achieved significant milestones, which they attribute to the dedication of its members in promoting the political ambitions of Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Their efforts have gained recognition, leading to an increase in their membership.

According to Hon. Mu'azu Idris, the forum has members who are serving as commissioners and advisers to various state governors due to the solid policies enacted by President Tinubu and the unwavering commitment of the APC.

While endorsing the continuation of Tinubu’s administration, the forum also expressed strong support for the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, emphasising that he is deserving of the governorship due to his contributions to the people of Kano State and his progress in the northern region.

Hon. Idris clarified that PAAF did not seek to meet with Barau as part of a formal endorsement process; rather, their assessment of Senator Barau I. Jibrin led them to unanimously conclude that he is the only capable candidate who can effect positive change within the APC. The people of Kano State appreciate his approach and assistance, not just locally but nationwide.

Consequently, they are prepared to provide maximum support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's continued leadership and for Barau to be elected as the Governor of Kano State in 2027.

The Director General also mentioned that the forum recognised eleven individuals with awards based on their exemplary performance, including Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, the first lady of Jigawa State, and Engineer Ali Wudil, among others. The awards aim to honour those directly contributing to humanity and to encourage further efforts.

Hon. Mu'azu Idris called on the people of Kano State to be discerning and make informed decisions. He emphasised the importance of focusing on the future and planning for success rather than acting out of blind loyalty.

He encouraged the youth, mentioning that he himself is under 40 years old, to take inspiration from his efforts in organising support across 36 states and Abuja.

He highlighted the need for greater dedication among the youth in his community, given that only a few political support groups in the APC are led by individuals of Hausa descent.
