The Executive Chairman of Dala Local Government Council, Hon. Alhaji Suraj Ibrahim Imam, has demonstrated his commitment to empowering party loyalists and promoting community development. During a recent event, Imam donated ₦2 million for the construction of a house for Mallam Kamilu, a member of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), as part of his continuous empowerment initiative.
The programme, initiated by the party's national leader, Engineer Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, aims to support faithful members who have worked tirelessly to ensure the party's victory at the polls. Imam emphasized that party members will continue to work as a united family and thanked them for their resilience and zeal.
The Chairman explained that constructing a house for the beneficiary was a more practical approach than giving him the money directly. He handed over the responsibility for overseeing the construction to Alhaji Ila, an elder in the community. Imam assured that similar empowerment schemes would continue periodically to benefit loyal party members.
In his remarks, Hon. Lawan Hussaini, the member representing Dala Constituency at the State House of Assembly, commended Imam for his commitment to serving humanity. He praised the Chairman's visionary leadership and noted that the council has entered a new era of progression and qualitative leadership.
The Vice Chairman of the Council, Alhaji Abdulaziz Dayyabu Maiturare, and the Caucus Chairman, Malam Usamatu Abdulaziz Salga, also praised the initiative and called on members to remain patient and united. They assured that everyone would benefit in due course.
The Women Leader of the NNPP in Dala, Hajiya Aisha Bashir, expressed delight and appreciation for the gesture, noting that it would strengthen the socio-economic well-being of women in the party.
The event was attended by party executives, stakeholders, and political office holders, demonstrating the Chairman's commitment to promoting unity and development within the community.
