Kano – Fifteen able-bodied youths in Dala Local Government received motorcycles as part of an empowerment scheme by the council chairman, Alhaji Suraj Ibrahim Imam. The gesture aims to boost their livelihoods and support their contributions to society.
"This is not a favour, but a well-deserved support," Alhaji Suraj said, adding that 200 female youth activists will benefit from a future empowerment program. He urged non-beneficiaries to be patient, assuring them that their turn will come.
ALGON Chairperson Hajiya Sa’adatu Yusha’u Soja praised the initiative and thanked Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for supporting council chairmen. She also appreciated Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso for his role in the governor's emergence.
The event drew notable attendees, including Dawakin Tofa Local Government Chairman Alhaji Anas Dan Maliki, Dala Vice Chairman Alhaji Abdulaziz Dayyabu Ahmad, councillors, and advisers.
