A Kano-based intellectual forum has thrown its weight behind Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf's re-election bid in 2027. The group, comprising academics, lawyers, and professionals, cited Yusuf's achievements in education, infrastructure, healthcare, food security, poverty reduction, and youth empowerment.
Chairman of the forum Dr. Abdulkadir Ahmad Jogana praised Yusuf's commitment to peace and unity among Kano's diverse ethnic groups. He also welcomed the All Progressives Congress (APC)'s decision to grant Yusuf an automatic ticket, calling it "timely and strategic".
"We applaud the Kano APC leadership led by Hon. Haruna Doguwa for this decision," Jogana said. He urged APC members, business leaders, community and religious leaders, youths, and women to support Yusuf's re-election for a prosperous and united Kano State.
The forum pledged its support, committing to work towards the party's success at national and sub-national levels.
