Authorities of Gombe State Specialist Hospital, Gombe have refuted allegations that water scarcity and electricity have hit the hospital. 

Dr. Mu'azu Shu'aibu Ishaqa, Director of the hospital, in an interview with our correspondent in Gombe.

He said the hospital a standard borehole that provide water and adequate electricity supply powered with Solar light that serve the needs of patients, their relations and staffs of the hospital.

 “It is not true that water dust is bought before we receive the patient, the allegations made by someone who featured on a radio that there is no water and electricity in the hospital, there is no iota of truth in his statement.

“It is mere allegations meant to smear the good image of the hospital, the general public should therefore disregard the allegations in its entity,” he said.

 Dr. Ishaqa, said despite the collapsed of National Grid recently that affects northeast, the situation has not affected the operations of the hospital, as it provided the needed health care services to the populace.

The Director while calling on the person who made the allegations to retract his statement and tender apology, reminded politicians that the hospital provide healthcare services to people without discrimination either on the basis of political party or religious inclination.

 According to him, the state government has renovated and equipped the hospital with the state of art facilities, employed professional staff and installed solar lights in some parts to illuminate the hospital. 

“Since the hospital was established in 1958, it has never recorded feats like now; it has reasonable number physicians and adequate drugs due to attention given to the hospital by Governor Inuwa Yahya.
