Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has called on the state's Council of Ulama to work together with his administration to rescue and rebuild the state. The governor made the appeal during the inauguration of the Zamfara State Ulama Consultative Council at the government house in Gusau on Tuesday.

Governor Lawal emphasized the crucial role of the Ulama Council in advising the government on matters of state policy and the well-being of the people. He praised the Council's contributions over the past 21 years, saying they have made a significant impact on government decisions.

The governor assured the Ulama Consultative Forum that his doors are always open to receive their advice on matters of state policy and the general well-being of the people. He charged the religious leaders to continue fulfilling their responsibilities with passion, commitment, and due diligence.

The Zamfara State Ulama Consultative Council was established in 2003 to strengthen Sharia implementation in the state. The Council comprises eminent Islamic scholars who guide the state's moral, spiritual, and economic development.

The inauguration of the reconstituted Council marks a significant step towards collaboration between the government and religious leaders to rebuild Zamfara State.
