Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed his deepest condolences to Prof. Umaru Pate, President of the Nigerian Society of Nigerian Broadcasters (SNB), over the passing of his beloved mother, Hajiya Hussaina.
In a statement issued by the Governor's spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf praised Hajiya Hussaina as a devoted and nurturing mother who played a pivotal role in supporting her children and family members to achieve remarkable success in their respective careers.
Governor Yusuf also highlighted Prof. Pate's significant contributions to the field of communication and media, both in Nigeria and globally, as a testament to his mother's positive influence and unwavering support.
The Governor acknowledged that Hajiya Hussaina's passing is a great loss not only to her family but also to the community.
The Governor prayed for the Almighty Allah to forgive Hajiya Hussaina's shortcomings, grant her eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus, and bestow comfort and strength upon the family during this difficult time.
Governor Yusuf's condolence message reflects his commitment to supporting the people of Kano State during times of need.
Other leaders, including Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State and the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), have also commiserated with Prof. Pate over the loss of his mother.
