Kano State Government Approves N7.7 Billion For Infrastructure Development

The Kano State Government, led by Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved a whopping N7.7 billion for the execution of various infrastructure projects across the state. 

This approval was part of the resolutions reached at the 21st State Executive Council Meeting, which was presided over by the Governor.

The approved funds will be allocated to various projects, including the construction of Tudun Yola off Gwarzo Road to Dansudu Bypass in Ungogo Local Government Area, which will receive N1.886 billion. 

Additionally, N1.839 billion has been approved for the review of rates for the expansion of Zaria Road, stretching from Silver Jubilee to Dantata and Sawoe axis.

The council also approved the upward review of the contract for the underground electrification of Kwankwasiyya City project, which was initiated by the administration of former Governor Engr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso but was abandoned for eight years by the Ganduje administration. The project will receive N1 billion.

Other projects that received approval include the installation of solar-powered streetlights at a five-kilometer dualized road in Gezawa Local Government Area, which will receive N599.6 million. 

The construction of Rijiyar Lemon road network in Fagge Local Government Area will receive N497 million, while the rehabilitation of Eastern Bypass to Tsamiya Babba will receive N340.9 million.

The Governor expressed his gratitude to the people of the state for their support and cooperation, which has enabled the present administration to design and execute developmental projects for their betterment. 

The approved projects are expected to have a significant impact on the lives of the people of Kano State.

The Kano State Government's commitment to infrastructure development is evident in this approval, which is expected to boost economic growth and improve the standard of living in the state.
