The African Youth Assembly for Peace (AYAP) has honored Engineer Ilyasu Usman Salihu, Managing Director of Sadex Engineering Nigeria Limited, as an African Ambassador of Peace.
This prestigious award recognizes his outstanding contributions to promoting peace and youth empowerment in Nigeria and beyond.
According to Alhaqqat Hussain Babaji, Member of Women Affairs of AYAP, Engineer Salihu's dedication to peace and development has earned him this esteemed recognition.
Born on February 7, 1968, in Gaya Local Government Area of Kano State, Nigeria, Engineer Salihu's educational journey began in Gaya and continued at Government Technical College (GTC) Wudil.
Growing up in Tudun Wada Quarters of Nassarawa Local Government Area, Kano State, laid the foundation for his future endeavors.
As a visionary entrepreneur, Engineer Salihu has established himself as a reputable business developer, contractor, and entrepreneur with a proven track record of achievements in agro commodities, manufacturing, and engineering services.
He holds directorial roles in several prominent companies across Nigeria, including Philko Ltd, Sadex Engineering Ltd, Gongola Power Holding Company (GCPL), Magnetes International Ltd, Granite Builders, and Yewtawa Sovereign Resources Nigeria Ltd. His commitment to empowering youth has earned him numerous awards from organizations at national and international levels.
As a politician with a history of development and humanitarian successes, Engineer Salihu has held various positions at local and international levels in Nigerian politics. He is a philanthropic icon who deserves to be celebrated among youths, women, and the less privileged for his altruistic mind.
Engineer Salihu's experience as National President of the Nigeria Youth Organization (NYO) and participation in several national youth crusades have equipped him to promote peace and tranquility across Africa.
As a passionate advocate for positive change, he is dedicated to helping youths overcome negative influences and achieve success in their careers.
