The PDP in Kano State is at a critical juncture, with internal conflicts and alleged sabotage threatening its stability. A crucial National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, scheduled for Sunday July 12, will determine the party's future direction.

The meeting, convened by the Forum of 2023 Federal House of Representatives and State Assembly Candidates, aims to address the growing lack of unity and concerns over anti-party activities.

According to Ambassador Abdul Rahman M. Salga Mainasara, the forum's chairman, a thorough investigation has revealed that PDP leaders in Kano are allegedly working with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, who in turn is working for the ruling APC.

This development has sparked outrage among party loyalists and 2023 candidates, who feel betrayed and sabotaged from within. Mainasara emphasised the situation's urgency, warning that the party must take decisive action to protect its integrity and relevance in Kano.

"We can't let insensitive individuals take control of our country," he said. "Therefore, we need to come out and fight for our lives."

The NEC meeting will be a turning point for the PDP in Kano, with the decisions made on July 12 laying the groundwork for a united front and the future of current PDP members in Kano.

As the party grapples with internal rifts nationwide, all eyes will be on Kano this weekend, and how the Forum steers party members toward unity and renewed purpose remains to be seen.

The core of the PDP in Kano is indeed unsettled, and the outcome of the meeting will have significant implications for the party's future in the state.
