In a significant move to inject more capable hands with the needed expertise for smooth running of government, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has today Wednesday, presided over the swearing-in of the Chairman of Public Complaints and Anti Corruption Commission (PCACC), Alhaji Sa'idu Yahya and three Special Advisers.

The Special Advisers Sworn-in include: Kabiru Getso Haruna, Special Adviser on Employment; Dr. Saleh Musa Sa'ad, Special Adviser on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR); and Mr. Sylvester Cole, Special Adviser on South-South community.

This was contained in a statement issued by the governor's Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad in Kano, Wednesday.

In his address, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf informed those Sworn-in that their appointments were made  based on merit, competence, committement and confidence repose on them to deliver on their mandates.

" You're are expected to uphold the  principles of transparency, accountability, and  hardwork in the discharge of your undertakings to achieve set goals and objectives," said Governor Abba Kabir.

The governor particularly admonished the PCACC Chairman to be neutral, fearless, hardworking and shun practices inimical to the smooth running of the Commission.

"Steering the affairs of PCACC needed you to be as neutral as possible; and strict adherence to the stipulated rules and guidelines governing the Commission's operations of fighting corruption in the state," he said.

He appreciated the contributions of the former Chairman of PCACC, Barrister Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado who championed the course of fighting corruption in his ten year sojourn as the head of the corruption fighting Commission.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf enjoined  the new PCACC Chairman to liase with Barrister Muhuyi for guidance on the Commission's operations and handling the pending corruption cases at stake.

All the appointees appreciated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for finding them worthy of appointment and pledged to work with high sense of integrity, justice and fairness for the overall development of the state.
