Community Seeks Medical Aid For Gwarzo Clinic

Residents of Yan Dodo quartets  in Hotoron Arewa ward of Nasarawa Local Government, Kano, have appealed to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to provide medical staff and drugs at the Comred Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo built by Nasarawa  Local government National Assembly member.Hon. Hassan Husaini in the area.

The clinic, inaugurated nearly a year ago, remains non-functional due to a lack of staff. Engineer Said Kamaludeen.Chairman of Kwankwasiyya Elite, Kano State while speaking with press on behalf of the people's  of Yandodo quartets  stated that the community contributed significantly to the governor's election and expects support.

He  explained  that  Hon.Shamsu Galadi chairman  of Kwankwasiyya movement in Hotoron Arewa ward who through his efforts  the Clinic was built by the National assembly member  of Nasarawa  Local government Hon.Hassan Shehu Hussaini after the community identified the need for a health  center, citing the distance to existing facilities and challenges accessing medical care, especially at night. The community raised over ₦6 million and secured land for the project.

Despite the federal representative of Nasarawa Local government constituency .Hon.Hassan Husaini handing over the facility to the Nasarawa local government council  an they promise to provide , staff and drugs to the clinic but  yet not  to be provided. The community is frustrated, as the facility's maintenance and security are also suffering.

Hon.Said Kamaludeen urged Governor Yusuf to intervene, citing his track record of supporting communities. The community hopes Health Commissioner Dr. Yusuf Labaran will facilitate the deployment of staff and drugs to the  Comred Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo Clinic in Yandodo quartets in Hotoron Arewa ward in Nasarawa Local Government.
