Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has cautioned members of the State Executive Council against disloyalty, internal rivalry and leaking of official government information, stressing that such actions will no longer be tolerated.

This was contained in a statement signed by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa on Thursday.

The governor gave the warning during the 38th Executive Council meeting, where he urged cabinet members to remain united and committed to the goals of the administration for the progress of Kano State.

Governor Yusuf explained that recent political developments informed his decision, alongside key stakeholders, to align with the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the interest of the state’s development and stronger collaboration with the Federal Government.
He also confirmed that five commissioners had resigned following the political realignment, noting that four of them stepped down after declining to join the move to the APC. 

The affected ministries include Humanitarian Affairs, Youth, Internal Security and Special Duties.

Governor Yusuf accepted their resignations and wished them success in their future endeavors.

The governor further announced the removal of the State Head of Service Abdullahi Musa and also confirmed the appointment of Bilkisu Shehu Maimota as Acting Head of Service wherr he urged her to promote discipline, unity and professionalism within the state civil service.
