Alhaji Ibrahim Al Amin “Little” is a politician, businessman, and indigene of Kano from Tudun Wada, Nasarawa Local Government Area.
He is a generous, compassionate man who is passionate about helping people. Even before he entered politics, he was with the people, supporting the less privileged and the youth.
Alhaji Ibrahim Al Amin “Little” began his political journey in 1999 with the ANPP, which at the time was the main opposition party in Nigeria. His entry strengthened the party significantly, making it the most influential opposition force in Kano. He traveled across all 44 local government areas to build the party structure and became its chairman in Kano State.
In 2003, he ran for governor of Kano under the ANPP and defeated Malam Ibrahim Shekarau in the party primaries. Later, he left the ANPP for the PRP, and in 2015 he joined the APC to support Muhammadu Buhari.
After becoming dissatisfied with Buhari’s style of governance and the leadership of the APC, he left for the PDP. In 2023, he supported Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and worked hard in Kano to ensure victory.
In 2025, he again left the PDP due to internal crises and lack of internal democracy. He has now joined the opposition ADC, which has brought together opposition figures to bring change to Nigeria.
As the political season begins to heat up, Alhaji Ibrahim Al Amin Little has joined the race for Kano governor under the ADC. He has also picked up the nomination form to contest for the governorship.
The people of Kano have high hopes for him. They believe that if he becomes governor, his policies will bring transformation in commerce, education, healthcare, and youth development.
His plan includes building independent power generation to solve the electricity problem, providing sustainable water supply, rehabilitating primary schools up to universities, and reforming hospitals. As a businessman, he intends to attract investors, support small-scale industries, and create a conducive environment for business.
Alhaji Ibrahim Al Amin Little maintains that the youth and the common people are the foundation of politics, not just the elites. That is why he remains with them, listens to them, and supports them.
