Abdurrahman Mainasara Salga has won the African Democratic Congress (ADC) primary election for the House of Representatives ticket in Dala Local Government Area with 8,973 votes.
The primary election to select the party’s candidate for the House of Representatives in Dala LGA under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) was held on 21st May, 2026.
The election was conducted in line with the guidelines of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) through the open ballot system, and it proceeded peacefully and successfully. Three aspirants contested, namely Hon. Abdurrahman Mansur Mainasara, Hon. Nasir Isa, and Hon. Bashir Muhammad.
The exercise was supervised by representatives of the national party leadership, observer groups, and security personnel, with both male and female ADC members turning out to cast their votes.
After the conclusion of voting, the election committee announced the results as follows: Hon. Nasir Isa polled 821 votes, Hon. Bashir Muhammad polled 1,584 votes, while Hon. Amb. Abdurrahman Mansur Mainasara Salga secured 8,973 votes. A total of 11,377 votes were cast.
Based on these results, Hon. Amb. Abdurrahman Mansur Mainasara Salga was declared the winner of the primary election to become the ADC candidate for the House of Representatives seat in Dala LGA in the 2027 elections.
Speaking on his victory, Hon. Abdurrahman Mainasara Salga expressed his gratitude, saying the win was made possible by the support of ADC members in Dala.
He also called on the other aspirants he contested against to join hands and support the ADC at every level, to ensure the party’s success in the 2027 elections.
