(Sponsor. Hon.Muhammad Adamu Bomboy).

Residents of Nasarawa Local Government Area in Kano State have expressed satisfaction with the representation provided by Hon. Hassan Shehu Husain in the House of Representatives, citing key projects he has brought to the area since assuming office.

Spokespersons for the community said their confidence in his style of representation is the reason they have pledged to continue supporting him, especially at a time when Kano’s political landscape is undergoing change.
They recalled that before Hon. Hassan Shehu Husain took over the seat from a predecessor who spent three terms, 16 years, in office, there had been no significant motion or project that benefited Nasarawa Local Government Area.

Hon. Muhammad Adamu Bomboy, a prominent politician in Nasarawa and supporter of Hon. Hassan Shehu Husain, said it was a major achievement for the people of Nasarawa to send him to the National Assembly. According to him, the core duty of a lawmaker is to sponsor bills and make laws, and since coming to the House, Hon. Hassan has introduced numerous bills as if he had been there for years.
He added that the bills are not limited to Nasarawa alone, but also address the development of Kano State and the country at large.

Development Projects in Nasarawa

Hon. Bomboy listed some of the projects the community has benefited from. These include road construction in neighborhoods where residents had not expected asphalt for over 57 to 70 years. In water supply, he said Hon. Hassan has provided boreholes powered by solar energy across all 11 wards of the local government area.
To improve security, solar-powered streetlights have been installed in every ward. In education, scholarships have been provided for young men and women, classrooms have been built in Hotoron Arewa, Dakata, and Tudun Wada, and Tsangaya schools have been constructed and renovated in some wards, along with the provision of furniture and teaching materials.

In healthcare, a Primary Health Care Centre has been built in Hotoron Arewa ward. The project has been completed and handed over to the local government to provide staff and begin operations. The facility is expected to serve residents of Hotoro and neighboring wards.
Hon. Bomboy said Hon. Hassan is following the example set by Kano State Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, in prioritizing education, healthcare, and youth development. He noted that since 1999, no federal lawmaker from the area has provided support to politicians and the public in Nasarawa to the extent Hon. Hassan has. Many people have received motorcycles and cars, while women have been given capital, sewing machines, and grinding machines to become self-reliant.
Call to the People

Hon. Bomboy called on stakeholders in Kano and Nasarawa to support Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Hon. Hassan Shehu Husain to ensure the continuity of their development agenda in the 2027 elections.
He described Nasarawa as a “mini Nigeria” due to the diverse ethnic groups residing there, and urged residents to channel their needs and challenges to those in authority so they can be addressed.

He commended Hon. Hassan’s open-door policy, saying his office is accessible to everyone and he acts on any request that benefits the community. After returning from Abuja, he spends Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in his office listening to people’s concerns.
In conclusion, he said Hon. Hassan’s work has even earned praise from Governor Abba Kabir, who urged other lawmakers to emulate him. He expressed hope that in the 2027 election, Hon. Hassan Shehu Husain would retain his seat so that ongoing development projects, especially ward-level projects funded by the federal government, would continue.
