Hajiya Dr. Balaraba Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, daughter of former Kano State Governor and former APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has reaffirmed her commitment to supporting students and young entrepreneurs.
She said she also uses social media platforms to promote and highlight the work of hardworking youths.
Speaking during an interview, Dr. Balaraba said anyone who claims to be part of her “social media team” but has no job or is not in school will no longer be associated with her.
“What I think is best for some of these media aides is for them to go and learn a trade. I would rather support you if I know you have a skill or a business. My desire is for everyone to be self-reliant – either working, in school, or running something of their own. Politics must go hand in hand with a profession, because we are all engaged in one form of work or another,” she said.
Dr. Balaraba added that the value her family imbibed from their parents is continuous service to the community without getting tired.
“Today we will offer help, tomorrow we will do it again. If people ask again the next day, we will still do it. That is how we were raised. We saw our parents do it. We respect the people and we will not stop. We also pray that our children will continue in the same way,” she stated.
She further said: “Anyone who wants to work with us must know how to relate with the community, respect people, love what Allah loves, and stay away from what Allah dislikes. That is the foundation of our entire lives.”
