Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has condoled with two families over the death of their loved ones.
In a condolence message issued by his Spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the Governor commiserated with the Deputy Managing Director of the Kano State Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA), Alhaji Auwalu Lawan Shuaibu Aranposu, over the death of his mother, Hajiya Maryam Alhassan.
Hajiya Maryam Alhassan, aged 75, passed away on Sunday after a brief illness. She is survived by seven children including Alhaji Auwalu, her second child.
Governor Yusuf described the deceased as a woman of exemplary character, humility and compassion, who lived a virtuous and commendable life dedicated to raising her children and positively impacting her community.
In a related condolence, Governor Yusuf also commiserated with Alhaji Usman Yahaya Kansila over the death of his wife, Hajiya Fa'iza Usman Kansila, who passed away in Turkey.
The Governor described her death as a painful loss to the Kansila family, relatives, friends and the wider community, acknowledging her important role in supporting her family.
Governor Yusuf extended his heartfelt condolences to both families, urging them to take solace in Almighty Allah's decree and remain steadfast in faith.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of Hajiya Maryam Alhassan and Hajiya Fa'iza Usman Kansila, reward their good deeds, grant them eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdausi, and grant their families the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable losses.
