The Ahlulbaiti Political Organization has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting peace, good governance, equality, transparency and peaceful coexistence among residents of Kano State. The State Chairman of the organisation, Alhaji Adamu Kabiru Auduwa, made this known in a statement issued on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.
Alhaji Adamu Kabiru Auduwa said the organisation remained committed to justice, mutual respect and community service, stressing that the progress of Kano State depended on building bridges across ethnic, religious and political divides. He urged political leaders and citizens to put the collective interest above personal and sectional interests.
On peaceful coexistence, the State Chairman called on youths, women, traditional rulers, religious leaders and political stakeholders to protect Kano’s long-standing tradition of commerce, scholarship, culture and religious harmony. He urged political actors to embrace issue-based politics and reject hate speech, misinformation and violence in all forms.
The organisation also emphasised the need for good governance, accountability and transparency in the management of public resources. Alhaji Adamu said government at all levels should prioritise effective service delivery in health, education, agriculture and infrastructure, while creating opportunities for small businesses and artisans to thrive.
On equality and inclusion, the Ahlulbaiti Political Organization maintained that every citizen should have equal access to opportunities and justice regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, age or political affiliation. It said women, youths and persons with disabilities must be given meaningful opportunities to participate in decision-making and governance.
The organisation further pledged to promote transparency and accountability by monitoring public spending, advocating open data and supporting anti-corruption initiatives. It also announced plans to launch “Kano United for Peace” community dialogues across the 44 local government areas, alongside quarterly Citizens’ Governance Scorecard forums.
Alhaji Adamu Kabiru Auduwa called on the Kano State Government, political parties, traditional institutions, religious bodies, the media and citizens to join hands in building a peaceful and inclusive Kano. He said the organisation would continue to support initiatives that promote unity, dialogue, responsible citizenship and development, stressing that “the Kano we want is possible if we build it together.”
