Stanbic IBTC Bank has announced a plan to support small scale industrialists with capital by easing the process of opening bank accounts.
The North West Zonal Head of the bank, Alhaji Abbas Abdurrahman, disclosed this during the first Kano Small Scale Conference (KASSDA), organized by the Kano State Government in collaboration with NASSI and Stanbic IBTC Bank in Kano.
He said the bank will open accounts for traders and offer them interest-free loans to help boost their businesses.
Alhaji Abbas said they hope to empower a large number of traders with loans according to the size of their businesses. The repayment plan will not exceed one year, but a repayment agreement can be reached depending on each trader's capacity.
He added that they have ways of granting loans without collateral. Both small and large scale traders will benefit according to their business needs, ranging from N100,000, N500,000, N1,000,000, N2,000,000 and above.
Alhaji Abbas Abdurrahman called on traders, especially small scale industrialists, to take advantage of this good opportunity provided by Stanbic IBTC Bank by opening accounts at the bank's branches in Kano State to benefit from the initiative.
