The Centre for Human Rights and Charity Development Association (CHRCDA) has conferred an Award of Excellence on Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Eradication. The award recognizes their outstanding humanitarian interventions across Kano State.
The award presentation ceremony took place at the office of the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs. Comrade Auwal Jibril Maifada, Director General of CHRCDA, said the award appreciates the duo's commitment to improving the living standards of the people.
Maifada highlighted Governor Yusuf's rehabilitation of numerous roads, boosting economic activities and reducing travel time. He also praised the governor's compassion towards women, children, and vulnerable groups.
The Director General commended the commissioner's efforts in implementing humanitarian programmes across the state. He noted that the governor's leadership style is kind-hearted and considerate.
In response, Commissioner Alhaji Adamu Ali Kibiya expressed appreciation for the award, describing it as a motivation to intensify humanitarian interventions. He thanked the association for recognizing their efforts.
Kibiya noted that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf's leadership is a blessing to the state, yielding positive results. He assured that the ministry will continue to expand humanitarian programmes with the state government.
The commissioner thanked CHRCDA for the award, assuring it would be formally presented to the Governor.
