President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has secured a landslide victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election held in Kano State, defeating fellow aspirant Stanley Osifo by a wide margin.
According to results released by the Kano State Government, Tinubu polled 500,852 votes across the state’s 44 local government areas, while Osifo scored 2,675 votes.
The Director General, Media and Publicity to the Kano State Government, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, disclosed the figures in a statement issued on Sunday.
The primary was conducted simultaneously in all 44 LGAs under the supervision of Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, who served as the State Collation Officer. The exercise was verified at ward and local government levels before final aggregation at the state collation centre in Africa House.
Kano Deputy Governor Murtala Sule Garo represented President Tinubu as agent, while Auwal Muhammad Kofa represented Stanley Osifo during the collation process.

Declaring the results, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf commended APC members in Kano for their peaceful conduct, unity, and discipline throughout the exercise.
He said the massive votes recorded for President Tinubu reflected the strength of the APC in Kano and the confidence party members have in the party’s leadership ahead of 2027.
The governor urged members to remain united and committed to the continued success of the APC in Kano State and across the country.
