The Kano State Amirul Hajj and Emir of Gaya, Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, has urged pilgrims to exercise more patience as they await airlines to airlift them back home after the successful completion of the 2026 Hajj rites.

Dr. Aliyu emphasized that even though the Hajj rituals have been concluded, pilgrims must continue to demonstrate patience while in the Holy Land.

This was contained in a press statement issued by Mustapha Muhammad, Head of the Media Team for Hajj Operations 2026.

The Amirul Hajj and his team visited Hotels No. 4 and 5, which accommodate Kano pilgrims, to interact with them directly and listen to any difficulties or challenges they are facing.

During the visit, the Amirul Hajj said: *“We are here to interact with you. I know the last challenge was the complaint about movement to the Masjid, but that has now been resolved as vehicles have been provided at every accommodation.”*

He added that the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board is in talks with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, for the airlift of pilgrims back home to avoid delays. *“Be more patient,”* he appealed.

The Deputy Amirul Hajj, Emir of Karaye, Alhaji Muhammad Maharaz, described the visit initiated by the 2026 Amirul Hajj as the first of its kind. He called on pilgrims to exercise more patience while waiting for flight schedules and to offer fervent prayers for the country as the 2027 general elections approach.

On their part, representatives of the Ulama, Sheikh Abubakar Kandahar at House No. 4 and Sheikh Tijjani Bala Kalarawi at House No. 5, separately enlightened the pilgrims on the rewards of an accepted Hajj and the importance of exercising patience in the Holy Land.
