The Iliya Kefas Alhaji (IKA) Coalition Movement for Taraba North has declared total support for the second term bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Agbu Kefas,as the race for 2027 general elections received a boost in Taraba State.
The group, comprising coordinators from the 16 Local Government Areas of the state, announced the endorsement at a rally held at the Jolly Nyame Stadium ,in Jalingo.
Founder of the movement and Chairman of the Taraba State Sanitation Agency, Hon. Iliya Kefas Alhaji, told journalists that the decision was based on verifiable performance, adding that,President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Kefas's Moving Forward Agenda have recorded visible gains in security, education and empowerment.
He noted that Governor Kefas's free education policy and his administration's commitment to security and women and youth empowerment stand him out, adding that the sanitation agency alone has empowered over 10,000 women under the "Operation Keep Taraba Clean" initiative.
Coordinators who spoke at the event, including Elder Adamu Big Man, Madam Victoria Markus, and Hon. Robert Bukar, vowed to take the message to the grassroots.
According to them, the achievements of both administrations in the last three years are enough reason to return them in 2027.
"We are assuring you that we are hundred percent in support of APC from top to bottom. Our votes are intact for the APC at all levels," the coordinators declared.
They also commended Hon. Iliya Kefas for his intervention in improving the welfare of the less privileged across the state.
The endorsement covers Governor Kefas and his Deputy, Hon. Zainab Ibrahim, popularly called Aunty Zee, as well as President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
