Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has condoled with former Deputy Governor of the state, Alhaji Abba Abdullahi, over the death of his younger brother, Alhaji Sani Abdullahi.
Alhaji Sani Abdullahi, a respected civil servant and politician, died at the age of 85 after a protracted illness.
In a condolence message issued on Thursday, 25th September, 2026, Governor Yusuf described the deceased as a dedicated public servant whose life was defined by integrity and selfless service to his community and Kano State.
The late Sani Abdullahi was the younger brother of Alhaji Abba Abdullahi, who served as Deputy Governor during the administration of former Military Governor, Colonel Idris Garba.
Governor Yusuf said the death is a great loss not only to the immediate family and the Dutsin-Gima family, but also to the people of Dambatta and Makoda local government areas and the entire state.
The Governor extended his condolences to the deceased's friends, political associates, former colleagues and the people of Kano State.
He urged the bereaved family to take solace in the exemplary legacy left behind by the late elder statesman.
Governor Yusuf prayed Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings, reward his good deeds with Aljannatul Firdaus, and grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
