Hon. Ambassador Abdurrahman Mansir also known as Mainasara Salga former House of Representatives candidate for Dala Local Government under the PDP in 2023, and who has now emerged victorious in the ADC primary election to contest for the House of Representatives in Dala with over eight thousand votes. Despite that, he is among those whose names the ADC party changed and submitted to INEC.
Ambassador Mainasara Salga placed the blame for all the problems that have arisen within the ADC party, especially in Kano State, on a woman whom he said he does not even know, has never met, and has had no political dealings with, except seeing her picture. She is called Hajiya Naja'atu.
He said that this woman, Naja'atu, is not a political heavyweight, because she has never engaged in any struggle that led her to success in politics based on ideology. She only pretends that she is an activist, oppresses people, and now that she has gotten an opportunity, she is "imposing people" and causing problems in the party.
He pointed out that he is a grassroots activist known for honesty, compassion for the people, and ensuring that those who deserve their rights get them. He does not come with dishonesty and selfishness just to get an opportunity like she does, by dividing the party.
He said that from the beginning, this issue started as a conflict within the ADC party in Kano State between her and the Kano State Party Chairman, Hon. Musa Ungogo* and Dr. Akilu Indabawa, over the sharing of party leadership positions. At the time it happened, she was in Egypt seeking medical treatment. When she returned, she said she was not given anything.
He said that what is always desired in the course of life is enlightenment. That is why when they were in the PDP and lost the election, he saw that the problem of "house-to-house" politics was what caused them trouble. If you are going to do "house-to-house" politics, there must be problems.
In leadership elections, this one will say he will bring his own, that one will say here is mine, whereas what should be considered is who are the credible people within the community that you can bring forward to lead, so that you can achieve victory.
He said that even in this ADC primary election held in Dala for the House of Representatives, everybody knows that he is the legitimate candidate. Even now if you go to the INEC office in Kano, his name will be there, along with the names of all those who participated in the primary elections. And the election was conducted in Kano, not Abuja. But then they came and changed their names.
He said that the candidate they contested the primary with before in 2023, he had defeated him. He then defected to the APC, and now he has come back to the ADC, and has again been defeated by him. And by nature, he is a person who loves to tell lies and to claim positions he does not deserve.
He is a fabric seller in Abuja. He even asked that we become friends with him and I refused, because I do not associate with liars. For me, the poor people who have nothing are the friends I relate with most, so that I can understand the condition of life and the people.
He said they are accusing *Ibrahim Little*, who is said to be the Kano State Gubernatorial candidate, of giving money to impose candidates who did not participate in the ADC primary election.
Little himself did not participate in the primary election. The one who won the Kano State Gubernatorial primary election is Mallam Ibrahim Khalil he is the legitimate winner of the Kano Gubernatorial primary.
He said that although Ibrahim Little tried to contribute to the ADC, his poor judgment in aligning with Naja'atu is what caused him problems. Because according to the ADC guidelines, there is no consensus. In the ADC it was said there should be a primary election "man-to-man." Just as the people of Dala came out and voted for him in the rain, and he got over eight thousand votes. But overnight, his name was removed and another person who did not contest the election was put in his place by the order of Naja'atu.
He said that Naja'atu is not on good terms with Musa Ungogo, even though he was the one who brought her into the ADC party, and she betrayed him. As for him, he will never abandon Hon. Musa Ungogo, who is the legitimate Chairman of the ADC in Kano State for eight years, with the party in his hands. How can he abandon him and follow those who have no integrity and do not know what is right within the community, and who are trying to destroy the party's success.
Mainasara Salga said that when Ibrahim Little was picked, he thought he would pick a person fit to be Deputy Governor who could bring victory to the ADC. But instead, he picked a boy who cannot even take care of himself, let alone support someone else.
Even though they say politics does not require money, but in the current hardship in this country, if the APC distributes money, people will collect it and vote for them. But they too should do something to attract people's attention and do charity so that people will vote for the ADC. But they are bringing people who have no credibility to contest in Kano.
He said that most of the candidates whose names were submitted alongside Ibrahim Little cannot even deliver their polling unit or ward, let alone win the 2027 election.
Hon. Abdurrahman Salga said that right now across the whole country, they are consulting with every candidate who was oppressed in the ADC and whose name was removed. If God wills, they will reclaim their rights for them. Because they have realized that it is the APC that infiltrated the party and is using some people to destroy the ADC party.
By God's grace, they will not succeed. And as for him, Mainasara Salga, whatever he sets out to do to ensure that truth prevails, God will grant him success in it. And in a short while, those who were imposed will be removed, and the credible ones who won the primaries and have the capacity to win elections will be reinstated.
